Acceptance
By accessing or using CertaintyGrade (certaintygrade.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What CertaintyGrade is
CertaintyGrade is an educational tool that applies GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation) methodology to help clinicians and students practice evidence appraisal. It is designed to supplement — not replace — formal evidence synthesis, expert review, and professional clinical judgment.
Assessments generated by this tool are illustrative outputs from a large language model (Anthropic Claude). They are not peer-reviewed, do not carry the authority of a published systematic review, and should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions.
Permitted use
You may use CertaintyGrade for:
- Personal education and EBM skill-building
- Medical education in classroom or training settings
- Illustrative evidence appraisal practice
You may not use CertaintyGrade to generate reports presented to patients or third parties as authoritative clinical guidance, or for any purpose that violates applicable law.
Account and payment
You must be 18 years or older to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Pay-per-use assessments are billed via Stripe. All sales are final; refunds are issued at our discretion for technical failures.
Intellectual property
The CertaintyGrade tool, branding, design, and original content are owned by Dr. Adarsh K. Gupta. The GRADE methodology is the work of the GRADE Working Group and is used here in accordance with its open educational framework. The Information Mastery Tool content was developed by Dr. Gupta beginning in 2015.
You retain ownership of the clinical content you enter. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your assessment.
Disclaimer of warranties
CertaintyGrade is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated GRADE assessments are complete, accurate, or appropriate for any specific clinical situation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dr. Adarsh K. Gupta and CertaintyGrade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this service, including any clinical decisions made in reliance on tool outputs.
